Thats right, for a drug that uses the same principle as an oral drug, you need to know the mass of your drug’s ingredients. Dopamine is made in the body, but the body itself can’t make it. So you need to know the mass of your ingredients to make the drug so they can be absorbed into your body.
This is the first time I’ve heard of this method, but it’s an idea I think is worth exploring. You could use molecular mass to calculate the mass of a drug that is given to you, then the drug mass (which is the mass of the drug plus the mass of the container) could be used to calculate the amount of the drug your body needs to make.
