The idea of self-awareness is to know who you are, the fact is that you don’t have a choice. However, it doesn’t mean you should live in a constant state of awareness, but in a state of awareness.
To the uninitiated, the concept of awareness is that we are aware of ourselves, but not of others. In reality we are not aware of ourselves, but of society, our society, our family, our neighbors, our friends, our pets, the things we read, the places we go to, the things we say to each other, the conversations we have. These things are all awareness of us.
Baha’i teachings do not just teach to live in awareness. They are also about the need to live in knowledge, to know everything, to know how to apply what we have learned. And in order to apply what we have learned, we also need to know how to apply it. We each have to decide if we want to live in awareness, or in knowledge.
But there is something more to these teachings than just getting to know how to apply what you have learned. The teachings are about our relationships with each other. The teachings are about how to live in relationship. We have to live in relationship with each other so that we can live in awareness.
The problem with this whole theory of relationship and awareness is that it’s impossible to be alone. We can’t be fully aware of ourselves. We can’t have fully realized relationships with our families, our friends, our loved ones. We can’t have fully realized relationships with our bodies. We can’t be fully aware of our bodies. We have to live in relationship with our bodies. That means we have to live in awareness.
I have to live in relationship with my body now. I have had to live in relationship with my body since I was five. It has been since I was six. It has been since I was ten. It has been since I was thirteen. By now I have to live in relationship with my whole body.
There is no such thing as a “fully realized relationship with your body”. You can have a relationship with your body and it does not mean that you are your body. That relationship was not created by your body. There is no such thing as a fully realized relationship with your body. In fact you could have an entirely different relationship with your body than the one you have with your body now.
The relationship you have with your body is a relationship that requires a lot of hard work, dedication, and self-reflection. It is not the same relationship you had with your body when you were ten. That is not the same relationship you have now.
I’m not saying you shouldn’t strive to be the best you can be. I’m just saying that the way you are today is not necessarily the best you’ll be tomorrow.
If you are not careful, you can end up with a body that is not the best. I know I have found myself in the past where I was working on myself and I ended up with a body that was not as strong as I wanted it to be. You want to have the best body possible and you want to be the best you can be now. If you are not careful, you can end up with a body that is not the best you can be.
