You are not alone on this one.
The trailer didn’t give a lot away, but we know the game is set on an island where you play as a party-loving dude named Colt Vahn. You’ll have to play the guitar to kill the Visionaries and solve puzzles to get to Blackreef, where you’ll fight off a couple of more Visionaries. It’s got a great music score to help you along.
If you have not played a game before, Deathloop’s a mix of combat (as well as platforming) and puzzle solving. You can play it as a solo mode, or even join up with others online. Its free to download and play, and the development team is very active on social media about the game.
You can play it free, but the pay-to-win mode has a few more levels, and some puzzles that require you to have some sort of weapon/weaponry to complete. That makes for a good deal of replay-ability if you enjoy a game that has a lot of side quests and challenges. It’s also one of the few games I’ve been playing that has a story, and that story is something that really sticks with you long after you’ve played it.
And as part of that story, there are a few great songs. Most of them are from games that have been around for a long time, and for me they all sound great, so I think I’m really enjoying the game.
Manithan has been around for quite awhile and has had great songs since the early 90s. It was the first game I ever played that allowed me to listen to music without having to load up a CD or something like that. It was an awesome introduction to the idea of being able to play music from all different kinds of music.
