The Nevada Legislature has a Financial Services Committee that is the first and only committee in the state to have its budget committee and committee of appropriations act under its same board. It’s the first time in Nevada history that a legislative committee has its budget committee and committee of appropriations act under the same board. It also happened for the first time in the history of Nevada.
This is a big deal because the Nevada Legislature has never had a budget committee and committee of appropriations act under the same board. We have an oversight committee who is in charge of approving state spending, but that oversight committee is actually in charge of approving the budget. If we want to fund a new hospital, we’ll pass the budget by the Legislature first, then go through committees of the Appropriations Committee and committee of Appropriations.
This is called “dual-appropriations” and it is a big deal because it is used to fund both the state and local governments. This is because there’s a lot of money spent on both the state and local level, so if we want to fund a new school, school system, etc., we would have to pass the state budget first, then the local budget. This can also happen with funding for a new law.
The key word is dual-appropriations. When you go through the state budget process you’ll see a lot of money going to the state government, and a lot going to the local government. We want to fund the government in the same way, but in a different way. We would want to go through the local government budget in a way that gives us more flexibility for new programs and more control over the government.
The most common example of this is the state legislature, where you have about 40 percent of your funding going to the state and state government. We would want to go through the local government budget in a way that allows us to direct that some money goes to different programs, without having to make up the difference.
The reason we would want to do this is because the state is a huge, powerful government, with the power to police the government. We need to make sure that the state legislature has a clear policy on what goes on within the state. I’m sure that this is a great thing for the state legislature as well.
