She was a beautician, seamstress and manufacturing facility worker. Ethlyn was born in Jamaica on the 23rd February 1921. She married Luther in 1940 they usually remained fortunately married till his demise in 1986. The family moved to England in 1963 and to Canada in 1981.

Survived by sister Mavis, and brothers Trevor and Randolph. Predeceased by her sister Phyllis and her first husband Eugene. TUCKER, Gerald, (born St. Andrew, Jamaica, August 14, 1930, deceased Sherbrooke Canada April 20, 2011) Gerald Etienne Tucker PhD, Professor of Political Studies at Bishop’s University.

She was a loving mom to Ianthe Allison and grandmother to Mercedes, Katrinna, Savannah and Shadrach. Another daughter, Yolande Allison, preceded Ovetta. She additionally precedes siblings, Edelmera Harrison, Getseta Thompson, Seymour O’Meally and Gloria Nelson. In Jamaica, Ovetta labored as Postmistress at each the Hayes and Alley publish workplaces. She migrated to Canada in 1971 and worked at Bell Canada for 26 years till her retirement. Known simply as “Bunty”, a reputation her father gave her at infancy, she moved to Jamaica, the place she was educated at Titchfield School and St. Hilda’s. While she was Entertainment Manager at Tower Isle Hotel in Ocho Rios she met and commenced a lifelong romance with Douglas Burke, the love of her life.
