This is an extension of my previous post. The s7 wipe cache is an open source project that allows you to create custom wipe caches that you can access in a browser, on your mobile or desktop device, on a computer. It is a simple interface that allows you to create a wipe cache, as well as download and install it, and then set it as your default wipe cache. The result is that you can wipe your data from your mobile, desktop, and computer.
The idea behind this project is to make it easier for people to wipe information on a computer they don’t have access to. I use this feature when going to the gym to wipe my phone’s data, or downloading something from the internet, or while at an office, to make sure that I don’t leave any important information on my computer. The site is very intuitive, and pretty easy to use. I can’t wait to see more applications that build on this idea.
I’ve been using a similar feature on Windows for years now, and if I could find a way to keep the information on a computer I could use the same feature to keep information on my phone. It’d be a big win for privacy.
s7 is really the only one that seems to make sense. I understand the idea that keeping your info on a computer is privacy conscious, and I think the idea of encrypting it is a very interesting one. But what I don’t get is why I can’t just use my phone to do this? I could use my phone to wipe my personal info, but I’m sure I’d still need my computer to do that.
I dont think it should be that difficult to access your files. With encryption, it doesn’t matter what information your phone stores. It only matters what information your computer stores, and vice-versa. The only way to access your files, then, is by using your phone, and only if you can use your phone to do so.
The reason why you have to use your phone is so you can use it to transfer and wipe data. Using your computer to access your data will work just fine. You can just as easily access your files, then, by using your computer.
When you use your phone to access your files, all your files are encrypted. So unless you have some special data that requires encryption, you only have access to your files if you use your phone to do so.
I’ve got to say that using your phone seems a step up from using your computer. It’s like using your computer, except your computer is a computer. That’s not bad, but it’s not quite as convenient.
Its great that you can access your files on your phone, but if you forget you’re on your phone, you’re not locked into your computer. You can access your files even when you’re using your phone. Just use your computer, and you don’t need to use your phone at all.
It might be a good idea to run s7 edge wipe on your phone’s cache, but it seems a little extreme. Ive never used a wipe and I dont think Ive ever used a device to clear a cache before, but I dont think I need to, because I have a backup.
