Many people feel that they don’t have time or energy to go to the gym. So they just end up doing exercises that they don’t really enjoy that they are probably not doing anyway and that is just one way that they are wasting their time. But it’s not necessarily true. There are many different ways in which your mind and body can heal.
I think there are plenty of people who are tired of working out, but to me, the word “exercise” in that sentence is a bit misleading. Exercise is only one of the things that we can do to heal ourselves. It does not have to be a massive exercise in order to heal. In fact, when you heal yourself you can start to heal a whole bunch of other things that we do. These things include meditation, yoga, tai chi, and exercise.
The word exercise still gets a lot of flack here. Even people who have been doing it for a while say that exercise is “stupid.” But we can all agree that if we really want to get rid of the flak we need to do something. So what are some things that we can do to heal ourselves? We can spend time in the gym. We can exercise on vacation.
So I have a friend who has been doing yoga regularly. She runs five miles a day and does yoga twice a week. Another friend who has been doing yoga regularly also runs five miles a day and did yoga three days a week. Neither of these folks told me that they were doing it to heal. But if they were, I think you should do it too.
So the other day, I was scrolling through Youtube and saw a video with a guy named Chris who did a video on the effects of yoga on your health. I couldn’t get past the first five minutes of the video, but then he starts talking about health and then it hit me. Chris is a yoga instructor. He’s also a health coach who teaches yoga classes on his website. So I decided that I should do yoga with him.
I know Chris has been doing the same thing with a different name, but this would be a good chance for me to practice yoga with him. Also, he has a pretty cool website where he talks about different yoga classes and how to do them.
I don’t think there’s a lot to say about how Chris is a health coach. He makes a lot of great points about how to do yoga, and it makes me want to do a lot more yoga.
So I am excited to go to yoga with Chris. I have already tried to get him to do something I could do myself, which is do a lot of yoga. The problem is I think Chris is so good at yoga that I just wanted to give him more credit, so I thought I’d try to get him to do some more advanced yoga classes.
I can agree with Chris when he says yoga is super fun, but I also think it’s not so much fun when the instructor has no idea what you’re doing. Chris is definitely a better teacher than mine. He is so much fun, so full of energy, and so much more knowledgeable.
You can’t get better at yoga than Chris. Maybe that’s what I should say.
